About Kris
Founder & Director
Founder of STJ Group, STJ Talent (UK) and STJ Consulting FZCO (UAE), Kris brings nearly 30 years of experience across regulated financial services, spanning frontline operations, advisory roles, senior leadership and executive accountability.
His career began in operational and client-facing roles, including several years as a regulated financial adviser, before progressing into senior positions across Compliance, Risk Management, Financial Crime and Data Protection. Kris has held Director-level and SMF roles, built and led regulated teams, and worked directly with Boards and senior stakeholders in complex, high-scrutiny environments.
Alongside his leadership responsibilities, Kris continues to deliver consulting and advisory support to regulated firms across the UK and UAE, supporting governance, regulatory change, remediation programmes and strategic capability build-out.
Kris is also committed to developing future industry leaders. He delivers training and mentoring and hostsThe Future of SMFpodcast — a platform designed to support professionals navigating their careers towards senior leadership and SMF roles.
Today, Kris provides strategic oversight across all STJ Talent searches, ensuring every engagement is grounded in real-world judgement, credibility and a deep understanding of what success looks like inside regulated businesses.
